Basking Ridge (formally known as Bernards Township) is located about an hour's drive from Manhattan and 30 miles from Newark Liberty International Airport with easy access to Rt. 78 and Rt. 287, Bridgewater Mall, and Short Hills Mall.  Trains run Direct Service to NYC and the school system boasts one of the top 10 in the state. The center of this charming town features homes that have been converted to small retail shops that date back to the Revolutionary War.  Sections include Liberty Corner, Lyons, and West Millington comprising of approx. 9,500 households. The town is serviced by two train stations (one in the Lyons section and one in Basking Ridge) that run into NY daily.   The best part of this quaint, friendly town is its residents. People seem to go out of their way to help each other in the true spirit of small-town ambiance.  One of my favorite features is the Summer Theater Productions held in one of the parks in the area.  Admission is free- and people gather on the lawn to watch local performances throughout the summer.  Come, take a tour!  You will want to stay!

Homes are a mixture of Revolutionary colonials, newer builds, new construction, mid-century modern, capes, and Victorians as well as a nice selection of townhomes and condominiums.   A new "green" subdivision located in the Township is offering 12 homes retaining its former rural agricultural heritage with meadows, woodlands, and walking paths to enhance the experience.  Call me for details and I will gladly elaborate on this wonderful concept of living.
