What is Buyer's Representation?

Buyer's Representation is a formal legal relationship where a licensed real estate agent (like me), works exclusively on your behalf. As your fiduciary, I am legally bound to protect your best interests, negotiate the lowest possible purchase price, and keep your financial information confidential. Without this agreement, I legally represent the seller's interests, even if I am driving you around to show you homes.

The Mandatory Document

The document you must sign before viewing any home is called the Exclusive Buyer Representation Agreement.

Following recent industry legal settlements, all agents are now strictly required to have this signed contract in place before taking you on property tours.
