WELCOME HOME TO NEW JERSEY!
Growing tomatoes and cranberries in this state is fine, and so is the fact that some very famous people have chosen to choose this state as their home. But New Jersey is also home to centuries of important history. Namely, the birthplace of our Nation. Starting with the Old Barracks Museum in Trenton featuring the living quarters used during the Revolutionary War and the French and Indian War from 1758. And our own local encampment in Jockey Hollow Park in Mendham during Washington's march to the Delaware- much history has been recorded.
In terms of architectural styles in the state, New Jersey is a microcosm of all styles of homes demonstrated in local towns like Montclair, South Orange and all the homes and estates built in our own Somerset Hills area. Here are just some of the styles represented in the “vernacular” styles:
