According to reliable financial reports- the Fed has reduced mortgage rates; and more to come, soon…the question is by how much?
In Basking Ridge alone, Year-to-Date 2023 vs. 2024 numbers indicate new listings on the market up by 11.48%; median sold price up by 19%; and average days on market down by 39%. This, of course, reflects one town among many in the Somerset Hills area- in another time frame, but it does serve the point that we have been, and still are in a very strong market. But, with new rules going in place and many buyers having lost out on bids, change may be in the air. Keeping a close eye on the numbers in your market would make good sense. But so far, jump right in, the market is doing just fine!
