The Tudor-style Natirar Mansion was constructed in 1912 as the summer home of the Ladd family of New York City. The estate was acquired by the King of Morocco in 1983 who owned it for nearly 20 years and was subsequently purchased by Somerset County to preserve and sustain the majority of the estate as a public park. A public-private partnership was created between Somerset County and local businessman, Robert Wojtowicz, for 90 acres of the property to renovate and restore the Mansion.
