#1 Have your HVAC and ductwork serviced!
Furnace and HVAC. Have a technician check your furnace and ductwork and have it cleaned and serviced so that you will have documentation that confirms the unit functions as it is intended. A clean system will be more energy-efficient, and an inspection will alert you to any problems. Check and replace air filters, as necessary. Test your thermostat to make sure it works properly. Make sure heating vents are open and nothing is blocking them. Clean your bathroom vents, too.
Caulking, Make sure all caulking in the bathroom showers and around external light fixtures and windows is secure.
Trim your trees, Make sure they are not touching the house!
